Trouble is, in the past our culture has dictated that, when we're unhappy, the place to go is therapy. Sometimes this really is the most useful choice. However, often small proactive changes to our lives, give us what we need - and get us what we want - at the same time. And sometimes this can be better achieved with professional coaching. Psychotherapy, traditionally, is reactive to clients' needs. Coaching is proactive - not only do we focus on where you're going, but on what action you will take to get there.

One of my focused areas of coaching is within the ExPat community, especially with those who find themselves in another country, having had to give up their job (house, pets, family), to be with their working spouse. Coaching with me is not just about re-setting your sites (maybe starting your own venture, decluttering mind/body/environment, etc) and achieving a sense of independence, ownership and belonging, its also about having a very productive and enlightening journey getting there – and I hope we have lots of belly laughs along the way.

Because my therapy clients have helped me prove it to be one of the very best techniques to loosen up the left and right brain hemispheres and mobilise stuck memory. I reserve just a few client appointments each week specifically for Walk&Talk - it is an advanced technique, which has proven to shift emotions quicker than sit-down-and-talk therapy. Being out in the air is also a great mood buster and being in nature puts you more in touch with yourself.
